Chapati Recipe
A simple recipe for making delicious chapati flatbreads
Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and water. Mix until it forms a smooth dough.
- Add vegetable oil to the dough and knead it for a few minutes.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll them into balls. Dust each ball with flour.
- Roll each ball out into a thin round shape, about 6-7 inches in diameter.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Place the rolled out chapati onto the pan and cook for about 30 seconds until small bubbles start to appear.
- Flip the chapati and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Remove the chapati from the pan and serve hot.
